A native of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, I have an unquenchable urge to explore, hence I have visited 75 countries and tackled seven professions plus a dozen or so jobs to stay alive while attending three universities. Writing has been one of my passions since 1975, and I have produced one collection of bagpipe music, three histories of The First World War, seven historical/adventure novels (The MacHugh Memoirs), and numerous magazine articles.
